helllo again guys, this prob has been buggin me for quite some time now,me and my friend have been playing Tribes:Vengeance Mp(demo) for quite some time now, but the problem is i cant host mp games, everytime i tried the game i created wont be displayed on the list,so you might say whats the prob? let your friend host la!! yes i did but the thing is everytime he hosts the game gets laggy, he's quite used to it(actually he pwns me lots of times)while im not, probably because he;s using 1.8 ghz P4and mine is 2.4 ghz, now he's making quite a noise abt me not hosting the game because i have faster pc than him.I'm using Streamyx the rm 66 package and have no other firewall installed save Windows Firewall, and using avg antivirus(free edition),hope you guys can help me...getting pwned everytime i play is not fun anymore...

Laggy?...Which aspect?...Internet MP lag..or the computer become laggy after starting the game?
If internet mp lag, try disabling your Windows Firewall...

I'm not sure, we're both using streamyx..can it be because of his cpu much slower than mine?...other than that i can't host a game, every time i created one it wont be displayed on the list and most of the time i cant join other server too leaving me no choice but to play in the game my friend created .Is it safe to turn of windows firewall? because after two trojan attacks i'm being much more paranoid abt goin out on the net without protection...

Before you disabled windows firewall, make sure you download zonealarm firewall..
This firewall work much better than that dman firewall..

You can't join the game room or server? If you can't join other ppl game room, you might experience slow internet connection, or your windows firewall block your game...Open your Windows Firewall configuration, and set Exceptions for your game.
There're plenty free firewalls available in the internet. I'd recommend you to use Sygate Personal Firewall, which is free, you can get it
here, or Zone Alarm,
ZoneLabs

I can join a game but the i would remain floating around( observer i think),and while the game would go on without me,whenever i try to respawn the game would hang on the spawn point selection screen, connection speed prob? another thing about the windows firewall i already tried several times making an exception to T:V and even reinstalled it but still nothing.

i dont know if changing your firewall will solve your problem, since at the start you dont know if it is really windows firewall thats causing you the problem. you might want to compare the difference between the firewall settings of you and your friend's pc. you might also go to the t:v webpage and try troubleshooting there.

Most of the time just two of us(password protected ),that is if he's teaching me the tricks and skills(which i still struggle to learn),he do create open server some times but the regular players usually kill me early while he would own the others.Well, yes i am a n00bie,but i am still learning.
