i am using:
Pentium VI 3.2
512MB
9600 Pro Gecube

i cant even play both game as error will prompt out. i check the manual for sim2 it stated 9600 pro is supported. i downloaded latest driver and windows patch but the outcome is still the same. is it an issue that the 9600 pro doesnt support the directx 9.0c did anyone manage to overcome the problem?

Perhaps you'd want to post a screenshot of the error page or at least tell us what the error prompt is about? Should be easier for us to help out. wink.gif

I had trouble with those games once upon a time tooo... it was due to my drivers sad.gif Everything was back to norm once i reformated.
And at that time i was having BOSD with restarts the PC. Using 440MX

Maybe problem is you're using pirated software, coz my original Sims 2 runs just fine even on 256MB and a paltry GF4 MX440. Like Airwind said, the drivers could be a problem, if left unchecked.

Im playing those two games with an ATI 9600 XT overclocked , no problems encountered . Try ajusting the settings little bit .

The 9600 supports DX 9c so its out of the point already .

Even my friend got not problems with his 9250 3d video card. It may be the drivers cause you have to remember to uninstall your previous drivers first to have a new driver on your system

Use the Ati uninstall utility for removing the drivers .
