my PC restart almost each time i play any games. it happens when a game is autosaving or when i save the game, and in some other circumstances. noticably this happens with serious sam 2 (ori) and other few games (pirated and ori).
could it be my combo dvd/cdrw is causing this? my combo is a bit unreliable - when i insert a cd/dvd it will reject back. so, i have to "force" it to get in the tray.
my pc specs:
pentium 4 3.0ghz HT
ram 1GB
graphics card nvidia winfast 7600 extreme
PSU 450 watts
hope anyone can help me here. thanks.

Try to play games without the drive 1st.If the problem still persist, there maybe over heating or something else.

normally there are 2 reasons s com restarts in a middle of a game. Either it does not have enough juice or it overheated. But looking at 450watt, I don't think it has anything to do wit the psu being not powerful enough. Maybe its faulty, or your com just over heated

the 3 most probably reasons
1) overheating......monitor ur cpu temperature
2) overclocking........disable any overclocking
3) unstable PSU.........get a branded 1 like enermax
