Check it out from what shows at the E3 PSP Booth!

user posted image

Here's the first shot of Sony's upcoming camera attachment for the PSP. This shot was taken by journalists at this years E3 gaming expo in LA. To me, it looks just like a smaller EyeToy, but it does fit in well with the PSP's styling, and should look something like this when it comes out in September.

It looks like it will eat up the PSP's battery life too. Most UMD games can get 4 hours out of the PSP whilst on the lowest brightness setting, but I'm willing to bet that this peripheral will half that.

Pretty neat eh? biggrin.gif

I guess this is still the best sig in the entire forum! ^_^

this device will be integrated with PS3 online function to video chat with friends who are at thier PS3s or connected to the internet via the PSPs using the new feature to track the avaialbility of their friends

and this photo/video camera & microphone(which already available in japan for Talkman translation UMD) will be a bulid-in feature for the new slimmer,trimmer model of the PSP.

Yes you heard it right...a new 'slimmer' PSP with at least 4Gig of onboard flash memory(in addition to a Memory Stick slot)

I must say i amused on how Vex got the idea, overclocking = its for pansies who want to believe that by pushing their processor harder, your e-penis grows that much bigger. seriously, want a faster processor, go buy one. the sh*t you go through to find out and maintain a stable overclock is not worth the hassle. it took me 4 years of overclocking to realise that. -from Vex

Sony Japan has unveiled the launch dates, prices, and specifications of the official PSP GPS and camera peripherals. The camera, which will be available in Japan on November 2 at a recommended retail price of ¥5,000 (approx. $43 US), is a 1.3 Megapixel affair capable of shooting both stills and 30fps video in conjunction with a built-in microphone. The GPS receiver will be available just over a month after the camera on December 7, and will be priced at ¥6,000 (approx. $51 US). Although the camera will be bundled with software that will let you add effects to photos after they are taken, the GPS receiver doesn't come with any mapping software -- the (semi) good news is that carrying cases will be included with the two devices. Both peripherals will work with a handful of different PSP games, although it's not clear exactly how at present. If the official shots of the devices don't whet your appetite, you better book your plane tickets to Japan, because Sony will be showing them off at the Tokyo Games Show on September 22.

Camera = 5000 Yen = RM$150 <-- Cheap!
GPS = 6000 Yen = RM$180 <-- Cheap!
Released FIRST in Japan!!! November 2!!!

At present, I've seen the camera got bundled with some Nintendogs-style game lol tongue.gif I guess the camera had already reached Malaysia, yes? wink.gif

Just in case you are wondering 1.3 MP is around 1280 x 960 pixels on the web or 5" x 7" printed. That is extremely low considering the camera standards are now 3 MP+, maybe even more. At the end it’s up to you whether you will be shelling out money for the PSP Camera tongue.gif

Here is a picture of the Digital camera for the PSP handheld, and it definitely fits the handheld perfectly:

The GPS looks kinda chunky though to be carry around, maybe it'll be best to use in a car happy.gif

Well, I'm sure everyone is dying to know of the full specs for both biggrin.gif
Here's the official link but its in Japanese (dunno if any of u can read).
Just use the Babelfish site to translate for you okie wink.gif
