Dammit, why does Nissan have to end the production of the Skyline?

Basically every product has a lifecycle. Car models sales go up to a certain peak and will start to come back down (on graph). Apart from that the tools used to make the car will wear in time. And we're looking at approximately on average 5,000 unique different parts per car which need to be manufactured... so thats like about maybe around 4,500 moulds, dies, jigs which need to be maintained. When these tools wear to a certain extend, it cannot be used any longer cuz quality of the parts need to be kept.
Thats why great cars like skyline and supra have to be ended. Furthermore, these cars market are considered semi niche.

what i meant was that there will be no more Skyline as in there wil be no more newer models, no more new design and technology that we have learnt to love from this car.I wasn't just referring to the R-34, but the Skyline legacy as a whole

It's sad that Nissan doesnt seem to be developing an R35. Not only was the car hugely capable, it was also an important car for nissan because it created huge brandawareness for them. Small kids and teens grew up watching Skylines rip the track up on their playstations or at the JGTC. It proved to everyone that stately old Nissan can make a very capable supercar.
