01 January 2010 in Tokyo. Capturing how the Japanese celebrate New Year's day.

Hello hkteck,

These pictures are called HDR pictures. You basically needs 3 pictures, with different exposures, and then combined them using softwares like photomatix and do some contrast adjustment and color enhancement using photoshop.

You can find more info about HDR photography in the forum under the category Digital Imaging. There you can find many topics discussing about HDR photography and how to generate one.

I learnt to do HDR from these topics too. smile.gif

Still a lot of room to improve...

Some of the pictures are slightly tilted because i wasn't looking at the view finder that time. I was holding my camera high with my arms and just snap randomly. Besides, i choose not to correct the image rotation to give a little bit of the feel that it was indeed a very crowded place until the camera is somehow "senget" (you know what i mean).

Anyway, C&C is always welcomed.

I would say most of the pictures are HDR, not all. It's very time consuming to produce HDR pictures...but i'm trying to have one collection with mostly HDR. smile.gif

You are really good in HDR. Try that with PS and never really like the affect and scrap that idea. I guess they say you could not teach an old dog new tricks apply to me....ha..ha.

D-Low, my HDRs were created using photomatix, then further enhanced with PS. Practice makes perfect. :) Thanks for the compliment. :)
