wanna play C&C genrals zero hour online, it checks for updates, but fail coz can't connect to server. must be coz by my zonealarm firewall. can nayone help. how to solve this? how to tweak the zonealarm coz i prefer not to turn it off u know coz of virus...

Inside Zone Alarm itself, there is a section where you can select to "Allow" your game to be played. If I'm not mistaken, it's in the Program Files section (if that is the name, I forgot).

Go to that section, scroll down and find your game name. From there, right-click on each buttons next to it and select Allow.

I guess this is still the best sig in the entire forum! ^_^

Thats weird, usually when a program is trying to access the net, ZoneAlarm will ask you for permission.

In anycase open your Program control and enable trusted for programs you want trough.

how about ip addrss? should i add any ip address to play generals to zonealarm?

Not sure about that, I've never did any changes to IP address.
You can try though, see what happens.

You dont need to set any Ip adress, and I dont think theres such a feature in ZA.

Just Allow the Program.

thanx for ur help guys. in the end, i just shut down the firewall to play games and restarted when surfing the Net. C&C tiberium wars seem doesn't have any trouble with firewall turning on though. must hv been some improvement from EA. rolleyes.gif
