GunZ: The Dual .

It's been working well for a few months or so after it had recovered for the massive server hack. Apparently a few weeks back , a new update was released and all users are to download it in order to proceed to playing it.

Now, that sound normal. But the thing here is that it's taking forever(as in FOREVER) to fully torrent the whole update.

Believe it or not, at the rate it's going, you'll be insane before the torrent completes fully!

I've tried giving it ample time to show some progress and yeah , it did.

Progress , there is. Speed, its a whole different thing.

It starts at 0.00%. Let it be for 1 hour.. on a good day with many other torrent users, it could reach up to 0.10%. On other days, half a day would bring me to just a minute 0.50% or so. Very bad.

I've left it on for two consecutive days and it reach a mere 1.50+ %.

For God's sake , simple mathematical estimation for 100% is .. 100 ++++ days?

I don't have the time and neither does my laptop. 100 day. 100 days without shutting down. I doubt my com could even reach that time mark.

Okay so does anyone knows any solution to this? Any suggestions?

2 possible solution

1. Give up the game (painful solution)

or

2. Ask any friends of your to help you download the game with PC (uber-internet connection speed)and you can transfer to your laptop via pendrive

Port forwading? Since when does that help P2P throttling???? Might as well curl up and die. Or what you could do is search for Malaysian trackers for the file.

try googling for the patch online to see whether anyone uploaded it on an FTP server. Yes the p2p throttling is driving me mad each time I wanted to patch WoW which in turn make me to download it direct from servers hosted by various gaming sites instead of using the torrents Blizz provided.

I had this problem before. In my case the torrenting wont even start.

I guess the culprit was server overload, just wait a few more weeks and you shud download it just fine. smile.gif

Thanks peeps.

And thanks Jase for moving this to the appropriate section. Had spent some time figuring out where to post this.

I'll go and try digging google for some useful links to such websites.

Hi guys, I have attempted many ways to download gunz and I have finally worked out 2 simple solutions:

International GunZ Online uses torrenting, which is different than other games. You have to download the file, then open Gunzlauncher.exe, which will start torrenting. The reason that your download does not work is because of the low amount of seeds and the slow speeds of the GunZ Online download servers.

However, there are 2 solutions.

Solution 1
Solution 1 is to use a torrenting program such as uTorrent, Bitcomet, and more to use the GunZ Torrent at it's full speed. This works a lot faster then the client itself and is actually recommended.

To do this, do the following.

1)Run the GunZ Launcher.
2)Open your torrenting program.
3)Open the torrent with your torrenting program located in C:\Program Files\MAIET\Gunz.
4)Close the GunZ Launcher.
5)Move your downloaded files into the C:\Program Files\MAIET\Gunz folder.

Solution 2
Many post the latest GunZ Installation Files on privately owned web servers, such as GunZ Revolution.

Go to http://www.gunzrevol...m/downloads.php or http://www.gunzrevolution.com/support/ or http://www.gunzrevolution.com/forums/ to find the latest IGunZ Installer. The installer is usually posted 1-2 days after release by the GunZ Revolution staff.

Have fun guys!
